The Pinot Gris is a selection from the “normal” Pinot Gris Spätlese and was fermented in 225 l barrique barrels. It then matured in the barrique for 6 months and was bottled in June.

The Pinot Gris is a selection from the “normal” Pinot Gris Spätlese and was fermented in 225 l barrique barrels. It then matured in the barrique for 6 months and was bottled in June. Especially the white barrique wines need at least 2-3 months after separation from the wood to “rehabilitate”. A nice apricot and pear aroma can be detected here, as well as a light note of vanilla and citrus. Good balance, juicy with a nice length.
